5 Ton Truck Owner Operator -Guaranteed Pay - Calgary to Urban Alberta
Coyote Courier5-Ton Truck Owner Operator – Power Tailgate – Guaranteed Pay Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Contract Compensation: Guaranteed Pay – No Piecework Job Description: Coyote Courier Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced 5-Ton Truck Owner Operator to join our team. This position involves running an established daily route ( run is 15+ years old) from Calgary into rural Alberta and returning to Calgary. We offer guaranteed, consistent pay — NOT piecework or pay-per-delivery. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of customer service, and can be counted on to show up on time and get the job done properly every day. This is a physically demanding position. Not all freight is palletized, and drivers must be comfortable handling freight manually throughout the day. Equipment Requirements Must own and operate a reliable 5-ton dry box truck. Power tailgate is mandatory. Truck must be properly maintained, insured, and suitable for commercial freight transportation. Must have appropriate load-securing equipment, including straps and other necessary accessories. Responsibilities Complete a scheduled daily route from Calgary into rural Alberta and back. Load and unload your own truck, including heavy and awkward freight. Hand-bomb freight when required — this is NOT strictly skid-to-skid work. Properly secure all loads to prevent damage during transportation. Safely operate the power tailgate and freight-handling equipment. Communicate professionally with customers at pickups and deliveries. Follow dispatch instructions and complete deliveries as directed. Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch throughout the day. Handle customer freight carefully and professionally. Arrive on time, every day, and maintain a dependable work schedule. What We're Looking For Previous commercial truck driving and freight delivery experience. Experience operating a 5-ton truck with a power tailgate. Physically capable of repetitive heavy lifting, loading, unloading, and hand-bombing freight. Strong understanding of proper load securement. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow instructions accurately without constant supervision. Dependable, punctual, and organized. A professional attitude and willingness to help customers. A valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle and a clean driving record. What We Offer Guaranteed, consistent compensation — no piecework. Established, consistent daily route. Full-time, ongoing work. Predictable work with a Calgary starting and ending point. Support from an experienced dispatch team. Opportunity to build a long-term working relationship with a growing Alberta courier company. Important We are not looking for someone who simply wants to drive from point A to point B. This is a hands-on freight delivery position requiring physical effort, good judgment, and excellent communication. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to handle freight safely are essential. If you own the proper equipment, have the experience, and are looking for steady, guaranteed work rather than chasing individual loads, we'd like to hear from you. How to Apply Please submit your resume along with the following information: Year, make, and model of your truck. Box length and power tailgate specifications. Your commercial driving and delivery experience. Your availability to start. Pay: $156,000.00-$180,000.00 per year Work Location: On the road
