Duties Safely operate a 5-ton truck for local and regional freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery manifests and shipping paperwork Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to plan efficient routes and delivery schedules Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on the truck as needed to maintain optimal operation Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior, ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably operating trucks of similar size or heavier vehicles Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts or other loading machinery Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting goods Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues quickly Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate delivery records Prior experience working with heavy equipment or in logistics environments is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible difference!
