5-Ton Shuttle Driver / Shipping Support

Job Description We are looking for a full-time 5-Ton Shuttle Driver / Shipping Support employee to support our daily transportation and warehouse operations. The primary responsibility of this position is operating a 24-ft refrigerated straight truck for frequent product transfers between our nearby processing facilities, as well as pickups from external processing facilities. When there are no transportation assignments, the employee will support daily Shipping operations, including order consolidation, palletizing, wrapping, staging and loading preparation. This is a combined driving and warehouse position, not a driving-only position. Responsibilities Operate a 24-ft refrigerated straight truck for daily inter-facility transfers Complete multiple shuttle trips between nearby company facilities as required Pick up products from external processing facilities Handle occasional local pickups, urgent deliveries and missed-item deliveries Consolidate picked orders by route or delivery Build and organize pallets, wrap completed pallets and move orders to the staging area Prepare orders for regular delivery drivers to load and depart efficiently Assist with loading and unloading Operate pallet jack and other warehouse equipment as required Organize empty pallets and maintain the Shipping/Staging area Provide backup support for regular local delivery routes when required Assist with general warehouse and shipping duties during non-driving periods Requirements Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) is considered an asset Valid Alberta driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle Class 3 or Class 1 licence is an asset Previous experience driving a 5-ton or similar medium-duty straight truck is preferred Comfortable driving a 24-ft refrigerated truck Good driving record / driver's abstract Comfortable working in both driving and warehouse environments Experience using a pallet jack Forklift experience is an asset Able to perform physical warehouse work, including handling pallets and freight Reliable, punctual and able to work independently What We Offer Full-time, Monday-to-Friday occasionally Saturday schedule Consistent local work Company vehicle provided for work duties Stable combination of driving and Shipping work On-site parking Application Please submit your resume and include your driver's licence class, and relevant 5-ton/straight-truck driving experience .
