Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. Reports To: Shipping Supervisor Position Summary BITEC, Inc. is seeking a dependable 2nd Shift Shipping Loader (Forklift Operator) to support our shipping and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for safely loading finished products for shipment, unloading incoming raw materials, organizing warehouse inventory, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, comfortable operating a forklift, and able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Load finished products onto trucks for shipment. Unload incoming raw materials and place them in designated storage areas. Complete required shipping and receiving paperwork accurately. Organize and maintain the warehouse and product storage areas. Perform required daily forklift inspections and safety checks. Box sample rolls for shipment. Pack granule pails for shipping. Keep the sample staging area clean, organized, and orderly. Assist production operations when needed. Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned work areas. Cross-train in other positions as needed. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Work overtime and/or weekends when required. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Applicants must be able to: Work the scheduled Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. shift. Lift and handle materials weighing up to 120 lbs. as required. Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and handle materials throughout the shift. Sto​op, bend, and crouch for brief periods. Work safely around forklifts, trucks, machinery, and other industrial equipment. Work in a hot and humid manufacturing environment, with temperatures that may reach approximately 115°F. Work overtime and weekends when required by business needs. Qualifications & Skills Forklift experience, training, and certification preferred. Ability to safely operate a forklift in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and counting. Ability to accurately complete shipping and inventory-related paperwork. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision. Dependable attendance and ability to consistently report for the scheduled shift. Safety Requirements Safety is an essential part of this position. Employees must remain aware of workplace hazards, follow all company safety policies and procedures, and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position is a good fit for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, organized, and comfortable working independently in a physically demanding shipping and warehouse environment.
