Postle Aluminum CompanyJob Summary Wet Coat Paint Line Team Supervisor Postle Extrusion, a leading manufacturer of aluminum extrusions located in Cassopolis, MI is seeking a Wet Coat Paint Supervisor. The individual would be responsible for leading a group of people in the safe operation of the paint department. Knowledge of painting application processes is preferred by not required. For the right applicant, looking to learn and grow with the company, all needed training will be provided. Bilingual applicants are a plus and strongly recommended to apply. Paint Line Supervisor will ensure all proper safety, quality and production processes are being followed as well as ensuring production schedules and customer deliveries are prioritized and completed on time. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of paint technicians and team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment. Monitor and control paint application processes, including mixing, spraying, and finishing techniques, utilizing measuring instruments and power tools. Interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and process specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks. Conduct regular inspections of equipment such as spray booths, measuring devices, and hand tools; perform or coordinate maintenance as needed. Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing lean manufacturing practices. Manage inventory levels of paints, solvents, and related supplies; coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment. Train team members on safety standards, proper use of tools, mechanical assembly techniques, and quality control procedures. Document production activities accurately through manufacturing management systems; review reports for continuous improvement opportunities. Foster a culture of safety awareness and teamwork while managing heavy lifting tasks and manual handling activities safely. Qualifications Proven factory experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes in a production environment. Previous supervisory or leadership experience managing production or assembly teams within a manufacturing facility. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with factory safety standards, lean manufacturing principles, and process improvement strategies. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to interpret production documents and manage multiple priorities effectively. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly throughout shifts. Excellent communication skills to lead teams effectively and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
