2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic
TSP TalentRole: Heavy-duty vehicle mechanic responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel and CNG fleet vehicles to ensure they are safe and road-ready. Responsibilities Include Diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks, hydraulics, and specialized waste/recycling equipment. Performing routine maintenance and complex repairs on diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles. Planning and scheduling repairs using the M5 system, ensuring parts availability. Completing administrative tasks such as reports, work orders, and parts orders accurately. Maintaining safety standards and compliance with legal and company policies. Assisting in reviewing mechanical issues, coordinating repairs, and training new team members. Maintaining personal tools and organizing the work area. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED; technical diploma in diesel mechanics preferred. Minimum of one year experience as a diesel mechanic. Computer literacy and ability to learn diagnostic software. Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria. Physical & Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Exposure to loud noise, moving parts, vibration, weather extremes, and chemicals. Occasional work at heights in high, precarious places.
