Responsibilities
• Safely operate 26ft Box Truck on over-the-road routes across California and beyond, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly in refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers.
• Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor progress, and adjust routes as needed for efficiency and safety.
• Transport various types of freight including hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and logistics cargo handling with precision and care.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and incident reports in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit.
Experience
• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver specializing in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes within California or similar regions.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for truck driving.
• Experience with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading processes.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking during deliveries.
• Excellent manual handling skills for load securing and cargo handling in compliance with safety standards.

Pay: $0.25 - $0.40 per mile
