26’ Box Truck Driver / $1000 SOB

Job Summary Looking for a hands-on position with an established transportation company? CMCI has been in business since 2014, and we have an extensive record in the delivery business. We are currently hiring dependable, hardworking Delivery Drivers for our Home Depot/Temco appliance delivery operation. As a Driver, you will work alongside a Helper as part of a two-person team, delivering appliances and performing light installations when needed to residential customers. Responsibilities Safely operate 26’ box trucks, for residential appliance deliveries. Deliver goods to designated locations, provide white glove delivery and light installations of appliances. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle. Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and compliance documentation related to freight. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction. Work alongside a delivery helper to load, unload, move, and position appliances. Perform light appliance installations and connections as trained and authorized. Protect customers' floors, walls, and property during deliveries. Complete vehicle inspections and delivery documentation. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and management. Able to operate trucks over-the-road (OTR) routes, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, optimizing delivery schedules and maintaining punctuality. Skills Relevant experience: Delivery driver, commercial truck driving, commercial driving, route driving, delivery driving, van driving, courier work, or warehouse operations. Knowledge of box trucks, warehouse operations, material handling equipment, pallet jacks, and load-and-unload procedures. Ability to perform manual handling, moving, and heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices and workplace weight-handling procedures. Safe driving habits, familiarity with traffic regulations and DOT requirements, and comfort using mobile devices. Valid DOT Medical Card REQUIRED. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Appliance delivery and light installation experience a plus. Ability to safely handle heavy appliances using appropriate equipment.
