Starting Pay: 

$22.00/hour


GENERAL SUMMARY

This role is responsible for coordinating warehouse operations to ensure the efficient handling, storage, and shipment of finished goods. The position supports timely order fulfillment, maintains inventory accuracy, and upholds quality and safety standards while contributing to overall customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Review daily shipment schedule plan and prioritize daily work schedules to meet customer requirements
  • Coordinate and control the handling, storage, and flow of finished product through the warehouse area
  • Manually or using a hand truck, perform material handling duties
  • Review daily inventory of finished goods in the warehouse against anticipated delivery schedules to minimize the amount of handling and damage
  • Process both incoming and outgoing shipment paperwork, including maintaining shipping records
  • Check pallets of product on first shipment to a new customer to assure satisfactory shipment of first order
  • Handle return shipments to manufacturers for repairs and collect information for damage claims on in-transit damage.
  • Take the initiative to resolve problems involving the supervisor and/or customer service when appropriate
  • Share in minor repair work and housekeeping responsibilities for the work area

  • Seeking input to improve warehouse operation
  • Work in assembly as needed
  • Operate forklift truck as needed
Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  •  High School diploma or GED required; 6-12 months’ experience in warehouse operations desired 

KNOWLEDGE

  • General knowledge of warehouse procedures
  • Working knowledge of computer databases
  • Understanding of company product codes and terminology

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Reasoning – Carry out detailed written or verbal instructions; deal with a variety of variables in standardized situations; solve practical problems, and know when to involve others to help with problems
  • Mathematical – Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Language Development – Ability to read and interpret correspondence, reports, and technical manuals; ability to write reports and correspondence and to speak effectively one-on-one and before small groups
  • Physical Effort – Medium effort required, regularly exerting in excess of 50 pounds of force to lift or move objects
  • Vision – Far, near, and mid-range vision, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision
  • Activity – Frequently required to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally required to talk and hear
