1st Shift Shipping

Summary for Shipping The primary responsibility of this position is to pull raw materials, receive product from other departments and palletize orders for shipping on LTL carriers. Process orders via small package system and prepare orders for customer pick-ups. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Shipping Qualifications - Shipping Must follow all policies mandated by company handbook. Must be familiar with inventory of raw materials and packaging materials. Must be able to print labels using shipping computer and printer. Must work neatly and keep shipping area clean and organized. Must be able to accurately use a scale, taring and ensuring target weights are accurately achieved. Gather raw materials using proper packaging and pull inventory from stock. Customer Pick-up must organize orders and prepare them for customers to pick up, checking off orders and helping to load orders. Small package processor must be able to process orders using Fed ex shipping system. Must check off orders against packing list, accurately transferring information from other departments yellow pick tickets to packing list. Must maintain a fork truck license and participate in regular safety training meetings. Must palletize product uniformly and prepare for shipping maintaining Excalibur’s high standards for excellence. Operate shrink wrap machine safely. Report directly to Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. The physical activity of this position will include but not be limited to: Frequently lifting 55 lb, frequently carrying 55 lb., spend extended amounts of time on his/her feet, moving intermittently during the work day from one work station to another, operating a fork truck, stacking boxes onto pallets, pushing and pulling of carts and barrels, scooping product from barrels to boxes and conveying instructions through oral communication. Proper lifting habits as well as safe fork truck operation are taught at regular safety training classes. Failure to adhere to safe practices may result in disciplinary action taken against the offending employee. Perform any and all duties or jobs assigned by any Excalibur supervisor or member of management.
