The Repack Associate accurately repackages, labels, inspects, and palletizes food products according to customer specifications, production schedules, and company food safety standards. This position supports product quality, traceability, and efficient production while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Repackage food products according to customer specifications and production instructions. Assemble packaging materials and assist with production line setup and changeovers. Inspect products for damage, defects, or contamination and remove damaged packaging materials. Verify labels, date codes, and lot numbers and accurately apply labels to finished products. Pack products into cases, seal cartons, and prepare finished cases for palletizing. Stack cases safely on pallets and wrap completed pallets for warehouse transfer. Maintain product identification and traceability throughout the repack process. Complete production documentation accurately and assist with inventory counts as assigned. Follow production schedules and work instructions to support department productivity and quality expectations. Notify the Lead or Supervisor of product shortages, packaging issues, and food safety or quality concerns. Inspect equipment before use and immediately report malfunctions or unsafe conditions. Safely operate packaging equipment after training, including conveyors, heat sealers, labeling equipment, scanners, scales, and stretch wrappers. Use pallet jacks and hand trucks safely. Forklift operation is limited to certified operators. Keep workstations organized, remove trash and packaging debris, and follow cleaning and sanitation procedures. Assist with sanitation during production changeovers. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) procedures, Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements, applicable USDA requirements, and company policies. Follow allergen control, food defense, food fraud prevention, and sanitation procedures to protect product integrity. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), follow applicable OSHA safety requirements and Lockout/Tagout procedures, and immediately report incidents. Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality and work overtime as business needs require. Work cooperatively with team members, follow direction from Leads and Supervisors, and assist with training new employees when requested. Perform other duties assigned by leadership. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Required Qualifications Ability to read and understand work instructions, product labels, date codes, and lot numbers. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math and computer skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify product defects and packaging concerns. Ability to complete accurate production documentation. Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Commitment to food safety, product quality, and safe work practices. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work overtime as business needs require. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience. Food manufacturing, packaging, or assembly experience. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Experience using pallet jacks. Forklift certification, if applicable to assigned duties. Previous experience in a USDA-regulated or SQF-certified facility. Physical Demands Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequently push and pull up to 150 pounds using equipment. Stand throughout an 8–10-hour shift. Walk frequently throughout the shift. Frequently bend, stoop, squat, and kneel as production requires.
