1st Shift Production Supervisor
Regal Rexnord CorporationWork Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. ____________________ The Production Supervisor will provide supervision of a team of union associates in the Assembly Value Stream in our climate-controlled West Chester, PA facility. This leader will drive key metrics around Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost for the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and manage direct labor union associates in a manufacturing environment to follow all policies, procedures, and content agreed to in the union contract. Hold associates accountable to the work rules, policies, and performance standards Work with Planners to assign daily work and productivity expectations to associates. Partnered with planners, execute daily, weekly, and monthly build plans, while meeting or exceeding on-time delivery of high-quality parts. Serve as a strong driver of production output by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and taking timely action to achieve daily operational targets. Drive and manage training and cross-training for all union associates. Partner with supervisors to ensure efficient shift handoffs by clearly communicating production status, priorities, and any gaps or issues requiring follow-up. Evaluate cell demand and determine any countermeasures Perform Root Cause Counter Measures (RCCM) and monitor SQDIP boards at cell level for issues that prohibit meeting key performance indicators – Safety, Delivery, Productivity. Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills by quickly identifying manufacturing and production issues, determining root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions. Demonstrate a strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and the ability to effectively execute improvement initiatives. Instill sense of urgency with team around meeting customer quality and delivery expectations. Lead team in efforts including 5S and visual management. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by taking decisive action, driving corrective measures, and ensuring issues are fully resolved and closed in a timely manner. Lead safety engagement and enhancement. Performance ISO and Ergonomic Audits, as necessary. Critical Competencies Excellent motivational communication skills. Strong technical knowledge and skills in manufacturing operations are required. Applies technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflow, and support consistent production results. Ability to deliver crucial conversations and discipline fairly. Results focused; manages details well. Ability to troubleshoot and implement root cause corrective actions. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Appreciation and respect for hourly work and performance in a union environment. Education and Experience Requirements B.S. in an Engineering, Supply Chain, or other Business field of study -or- Associates Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of full-time manufacturing work experience -or- at least 8 years of full-time manufacturing work experience in a supervisory/engineer/quality role. Exposure to manufacturing environment required, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries. Previous experience formally or informally leading hourly production associates. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Exposure to ISO 9000 and/or 14000 preferred. User experience in Microsoft Access preferred.
