1st Shift Forklift Cooler/Warehouse Attendant

Essential Functions of Role:

This is “hands on” position responsible for:

• Understand and follow all appropriate QA & USDA policies & procedures.
• Comply with all appropriate SSOP & HACP requirements
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be able to pick orders accurately
• Must be able to load trucks
• Provide Logistics’ Coordinator back up in the event of illness or vacation
• Must be able to ensure the department is working on the correct priorities in a timely & accurate manner
• And any other duties as assigned by his/her foreman. 

Requirements:

• Supervise the Logistics crew activities, including shipping, receiving, restack & warehouse management.
• Ensure all customer orders are filled in an accurate & timely manner.
• Work effectively with the Logistics’ Coordinator on all daily activities.
• Ensure first in, first out rotation is followed (FIFO)
• Work with Logistics Coordinator, Warehouse Foreman and Department Manager to ensure the perpetual inventory records are accurate at all times.
• Comply with all the housekeeping expectations.
• Work effectively with Warehouse Foreman on the transition from first to second shift activities. 

Qualifications:

• High school graduate, college preferred.
• Must have 1-2 years of experience with Hi-Lo
• 3-5 years experience in shipping, inventory control, and materials management.
• Computer Proficiency (MFG/ PRO, Excel) and detailed oriented.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work with many levels of management.
• Excellent math skills.

• Must be able to communicate utilizing various office equipment including the telephone, computer, facsimile machine, pager etc.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
