t the long-distance nature of the route discourage you. The truck is considerably easier to maneuver than a tractor-trailer or truck-and-trailer combination.
You'll work as part of a two-person team completing scheduled furniture pickups and deliveries throughout the country and into California.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys traveling, doesn't want a traditional Monday–Friday schedule, and likes the idea of working hard for approximately 8–10 days followed by several consecutive days at home.
Our California route travels through multiple states, so for someone who enjoys being on the road and seeing different parts of the country, it can be a pretty cool job and a unique way to see the country while earning good money.
PAY
Drivers are paid per completed route:
• 8-day route — $2,000 + tips
• 9-day route — $2,200 + tips
• 10-day route — $2,400 + tips
Customer tips are additional.
Hotels are provided every night while on the road. We provide the truck and pay for all fuel.
There are no truck payments, fuel costs, or hotel expenses coming out of your route pay.
Please note: We do not provide a daily per diem or meal allowance. Drivers are responsible for their own meals and personal expenses while on the road.
BRING YOUR OWN HELPER – $1,000 BONUS
If you already know someone you'd work well with, you are welcome to bring your own Helper.
This could be a friend, family member, former coworker, or someone you've previously worked with who would be a good fit for the Helper position.
Your Helper will still need to meet our requirements and be approved for the position.
If you bring your own Helper and both of you remain with us, we will pay you a $1,000 bonus after 3 months or 6 completed routes, whichever happens first.
You are NOT required to bring your own Helper. If you don't have someone, we will provide a Helper for you.
We offer this option because we know that having two people who already know each other and work well together can make being on the road and completing deliveries much more enjoyable.
SCHEDULE The California route operates on a repeating schedule:
• Approximately 9–10 days on the road
• Followed by approximately 4–5 days off
• Then the cycle repeats
• Some routes may be completed in approximately 8 days
• Route length can vary slightly depending on stops, traffic, and scheduling
For the right person, this can be a great schedule. You'll work hard while you're out, but you'll regularly have 4–5 consecutive days at home between routes instead of a traditional two-day weekend.
THE TRUCK
This position uses a 16-foot box truck.
To be clear
• No trailer
• No tractor-trailer
• No semi
• No CDL required
• No trailer experience required
Experience driving a box truck, moving truck, delivery truck, large van, or similar vehicle is helpful.
You will be driving long distances, including interstate and city driving, so you must be a safe and confident driver. However, we're not specifically looking for someone with semi-truck or tractor-trailer experience.
WHAT THE POSITION INVOLVES
This is more than simply a driving position.
The Driver is also the Route Lead and works alongside a Helper to complete pickups and deliveries safely, professionally, and on schedule.
We specialize in white-glove furniture transportation and regularly handle quality furniture, antiques, designer pieces, artwork, and other unique or valuable items.
You will participate in the physical side of the job alongside your Helper.
