14-16 Ft Conestoga Truck Driver (long distance)

Job Overview Drive a 14–16 ft Conestoga truck on long-distance, over-the-road (OTR) routes to deliver freight safely and on schedule. You’ll plan routes with GPS navigation, secure cargo, and follow applicable transportation and safety requirements. The role may involve manual transmission, manual handling, and loading or unloading freight. Responsibilities Operate a commercial truck on OTR and local route-driving assignments, including delivery driving. Inspect the vehicle and secure freight; load and unload cargo using safe manual-handling practices. Use GPS navigation to follow routes and communicate delivery updates as needed. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive freight safely and reliably. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods rules. Qualifications Required: Valid driving credentials (NO CDL REQUIRED) appropriate for the vehicle and route, safe driving practices, and ability to handle freight. Required: Experience with commercial truck driving, delivery driving, and manual transmission; tractor-trailer experience is an asset. Preferred: Experience with Conestoga, flatbed, refrigerated trailer, tanker, or automobile transportation freight. Familiarity with logistics cargo handling, truck loading and unloading, freight documentation, and route driving. Hazmat (hazardous materials) experience or credentials are preferred where applicable; ability to meet relevant regulatory requirements is essential.
