Duties Safely operate a 26-foot box truck with a liftgate, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws Load and unload furniture items using manual handling techniques, hand trucks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices Deliver furniture directly to customers’ homes or commercial locations with professionalism and courtesy Assist with moving and positioning furniture inside delivery sites, ensuring proper manual handling and adherence to weight handling guidelines Communicate clearly with customers to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and provide outstanding customer service Maintain accurate delivery documentation using mobile devices and ensure timely route driving according to scheduled plans Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after deliveries to ensure safety and compliance with commercial truck driving standards Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, or delivery driving roles involving box trucks or vans Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a commercial truck or van; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not required Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices Strong knowledge of route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance requirements Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments Ability to handle physical tasks involving manual handling, moving heavy items, and manual lifting over extended periods Good knowledge about the assembly of the furniture.
