Duties Safely operate a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van or similar box truck to complete scheduled deliveries across designated routes. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and company policies during all driving activities. Manage delivery documentation accurately via mobile devices, including manifests, delivery receipts, and route logs. Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain warehouse operations by assisting with inventory management, material handling, and supporting moving or storage tasks when necessary. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with box trucks or vans used for delivery purposes. Prior delivery driver experience with familiarity in route planning and navigation. Warehouse experience including manual handling, heavy lifting, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of driving regulations including adherence to traffic laws and DOT standards for weight handling in the workplace. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices during deliveries. Comfortable performing load & unload tasks safely while following heavy lifting protocols; previous warehouse operations experience is a plus.
