Responsibilities Safely operate tractor with containers across assigned routes while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA guidelines. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules on local and or over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Transport freight securely, maintaining the integrity of the freight. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure safety and compliance with DOT standards Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and inspections in accordance with DOT regulations Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving Prior experience handling containers in a logistics environment Knowledge of automatic transmission trucks and automatic handling techniques for freight management Demonstrated ability to navigate using GPS systems efficiently on over-the-road (OTR) routes Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations Experience in delivery driver roles involving freight transportation across multiple states or regions Knowledge of the ports of Houston 1 1/2 year experience Embark on a rewarding journey as a 1099 Class A CDL Truck Driver where your skills propel our operations forward!
