As a Pharmacy Inventory Control Clerk you will assists in managing the daily operational aspects of the Pharmacy Department. They demonstrate discretion, sound judgment and awareness of budgetary responsibilities. Performs duties of calling/transmitting of purchase orders for pharmaceuticals and reporting any delays/problem with orders. Exhibits positive interpersonal skills (customer service) as 75-80% of time is spent interacting with others. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, DNV requirements, and national patient safety standards. You will be responsible for: Assesses and maintains pharmacy inventory to ensure that inventory level is optimal. Repackages medication from bulk stock to unit dose as needed. Reviews and maintains wholesaler drug files. Participates in inventory control. Identifies quantity. Restocks outdated and contaminated merchandise. Receives and stores all pharmaceuticals according to manufacturer directions. Appropriate storage information given prior to distribution of product. Checks invoice against order to make sure all items are received and charges are correct, then forwards all pharmacy invoices/purchasing records, especially regarding controlled substances, to clerk for processing. Inspection for expired medications/fluids made monthly. Outdated medications returned for credit. Information concerning back orders, new drugs in stock, back orders, stock outs, etc. are relayed to staff on a daily basis. Maintains files for drug recalls for the Health System. Maintains and monitors files for DSCSA and 340B to ensure Health System compliance. What you will need: High School Diploma or Equivalent Education Georgia State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration license Current certification from National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, Inc. or National Healthcareer Association One year of Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience Why choose Southeast Georgia Health System?
