About the role

NEX Aero is building a new class of heavy-lift cargo drones. We are in the early stages of defining the product, validating key assumptions, and building the first aircraft requiring strong execution across engineering, product, and business.

We are looking for a highly motivated working student to support across strategy, business, and product. You will work directly with the leadership team on high-priority topics, and help bring structure to complex challenges in a fast-moving deep-tech environment.
 
 

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to support strategic decision-making
  • Build and challenge business cases, cost models, and commercial assumptions
  • Support product strategy and commercial validation efforts
  • Prepare decision-making materials, presentations and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive cross-functional coordination between engineering, product, and business teams
  • Support operational planning and help structure critical company processes
  • Take ownership of ad-hoc strategic and operational topics with CEO

Your profile

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Strategy, Economics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong academic track record and first practical experience in consulting, startups, venture building, product, or business development
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly structured, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Interested in deep-tech, aerospace, and building products from zero to one
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
