Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, you will be part of the Purchasing Department. You will be responsible for accurate receiving, storage, and allocation of resources to ensure responsible and seamless mining operations in addition to the safe and effective application/delivery of all warehouse activity. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Responsibility for the efficiency of operations and maintaining warehouse productivity of the warehouse area;
Maintain inventory by conducting physical cycle counts, coordinate and oversee all warehouse logistics;
Supervise and direct warehouse staff;
Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning to create a more efficient fulfilment system;
Maintaining areas uncluttered and consistent with 5S\: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain;
Make recommendations to the manager for efficiency, safety, and production improvements;
Keep personal work area clean to maintain a safe clean working environment;
Leadership on display with relevant daily behaviors;
Prioritize work and multi-tasking while following SOP’s and working safely, leading by example;
Ensure a sense of urgency is recognized when dealing with internal customer requests and requirements;
Ensure warehousing activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and the highest ethical standards;
Follow SOX controls and audit compliance.
5 or more years of warehousing experience;
Experience in supervising a team is considered an asset;
Advanced knowledge of inventory and supply chain managements;
Advanced knowledge of SAP/JDE or other relevant ERP, within the materials module;
Valid G License;
Forklift and Transportation of Dangerous Goods training certificates are considered an asset;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
