About the Job:

Operating in a Northern British Columbia mining environment on a two week in/two week out shift rotation, the Warehouse Supervisor would oversee, coordinate and perform warehousing functions including but not limited to: shipping, receiving, kitting, deliveries, storage and inventory control functions in a safe, clean and orderly condition. Solid work ethics, regular attendance, and punctuality are essential requirements for this position. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities, assure stock and warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition;
  • Oversee, coordinate and perform warehousing functions including but not limited to: shipping, receiving, kitting, deliveries, storage and inventory control functions;
  • Ensure direct reports have a clear understanding of their responsibilities to the outcomes and have the resources to accomplish them;
  • Collaborate with the planning departments and other internal customers to ensure timely responsiveness and high level of service is maintained;
  • Inform, motivate, and coach crews to achieve and sustain optimal output and accuracy capacity;
  • Balance Crew Sizes & Strengths;
  • Set and communicate priorities consistently; firmly and fairly establish culture of accountability;
  • Responsible for the execution and reinforcement of the health and safety program;
  • Various warehouse function as required for back up; and 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certified Industrial Warehouseperson (or equivalent);
  • Ten (10) years mining/industrial construction materials/inventory management experience;
  • Five (5) years progression supervision experience;
  • Working knowledge of the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in B.C. and regulatory framework;
  • Strong focus on safety as a culture;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential;
  • Knowledge of mining equipment and associated parts;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory control software.

Additional Information:

  • Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp. 
  • Eligible for Annual Bonus.
  • Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
