ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor – Delta is responsible for leading Receiving operations while also supporting Outbound execution as needed to meet daily and weekly warehouse priorities.

This is a hands-on, working Supervisor role. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to actively perform receiving, putaway, inventory movement, and other warehouse tasks alongside the team, while also planning daily workloads, coordinating labor, and ensuring safe and accurate execution of all inbound activities.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving Operations

  • Lead and execute inbound receiving activities, including unloading containers, verifying inbound shipments, receiving inventory in the system, and completing putaway.
  • Work side-by-side with the team to stow, consolidate, and organize inventory accurately and efficiently.
  • Plan daily receiving priorities and adjust execution in real time based on volume, staffing, and space constraints.
  • Ensure inventory is labeled, stored, and consolidated according to SOPs and safety standards.
  • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, damages, and variances, completing system updates as required.

Outbound & Cross-Functional Support

  • Support outbound execution (picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping) as required.
  • Reallocate labor between inbound and outbound work based on daily priorities.
  • Partner with outbound supervisor to ensure smooth handoffs and balanced execution.

Team Leadership & Daily Execution

  • Lead by example through active participation in warehouse work.
  • Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and provide real-time coaching while working alongside the team.
  • Support onboarding and training by demonstrating correct workflows and safe equipment operation.
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies.

Safety, Compliance & Facility Standards

  • Champion a strong safety culture by modeling safe behaviors at all times.
  • Ensure all associates follow PPE requirements and safe equipment operation standards.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and immediately address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on job-specific safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
  • Report incidents, near misses, and equipment issues promptly and accurately.

Inventory Control & Process Adherence

  • Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Ensure all receiving and inventory movement activities follow documented SOPs.
  • Identify process gaps and escalate improvement opportunities to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and system updates related to receiving and inventory movement.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hands-on supervisory role where the Supervisor regularly performs warehouse tasks.
  • Strong hands-on experience with receiving operations; outbound experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience with containers, LTL, couriers, and freight carriers.
  • Working knowledge of RF scanning and WMS systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Physically able to lift products weighing 50–70 lbs.
  • Flexibility with working hours based on operational needs.

Salary range for this role is budgeted at $60,000 - $80,000
