Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Columbia, MO(100% Onsite)
Duration: 12-24 months contract
Pay Rate: 35.65/hr.w2
Shift: T-Fri 12:15 AM - 6:15 AM and Friday 5:45 PM to 11:45 PM, with flexibility required to cover overtime during the week based on business needs.

Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading and optimizing warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate movement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role oversees inventory management, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, shipping, and logistics activities while driving operational excellence, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Warehouse Supervisor provides both strategic and hands-on leadership, ensuring high levels of customer service, inventory accuracy, productivity, and cost efficiency. This position plays a critical role in supporting business objectives through effective warehouse management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.

What will you do?

  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and efficient material flow to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring performance, resolving issues, optimizing warehouse layouts, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while fostering a strong culture of workplace safety.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Transportation, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless operational execution.
  • Analyze operational metrics and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required. Equivalent experience and skills can be substituted for education.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a Warehouse or Distribution environment with at least 2 of these years in a leadership role (leading teams of 15).
  • Strong understanding of material logistics processes, inventory accuracy/systems, and production/order requirements.
  • Experience with ERP & WMS systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, DMAIC).
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance programs, and operational standardization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Must Haves

  • Warehouse Operations & Inventory: 3+ years of warehouse/distribution experience managing receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and material flow.

  • Leadership & Team Management: At least 2 years in a leadership role managing teams of 15+ employees, driving safety, productivity, and performance.

  • Systems & Continuous Improvement: Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred) and Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma improvement initiatives.

  • Safety, Analytics & Communication: Knowledge of safety compliance, audits, inventory accuracy, KPI analysis, root cause analysis, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
