Warehouse Supervisor

Currently we have an opening for a Warehouse Supervisor.  The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of warehouse employees to ensure work is completed in compliance with company quality and safety standards for the Lively facility. The Supervisor will also work with other stakeholders to manage and prioritize assignments to ensure customer demands and production schedules are met. The Supervisor will also drive actions and tasks through warehousing including continuous improvement, investigating solutions to system and process issues, and being the first point of contact for Warehouse Technicians from Val-d’Or.

What you will be doing

  • Drives continuous improvement to the team’s overall warehouse excellence including development of improved processes.
  • Assign duties to warehouse technicians to meet the operational requirements of the business and delivery dates for customers.
  • Build strong relationships with all departments and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and coordinate periodic stocks audits.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Remain focused on safety issues and work closely with parts group management and EHS to ensure a safe working environment across the Val-d’Or facility. Conduct regular safety checks and address hazards promptly.
  • Be the first point of contact for system or procedures issues from the warehouse group.
  • Assist with the implementation, set up, and onboarding of new technicians.
  • Create and deliver employee performance reviews along with the help and guidance.
  • Manages performance and ensures compliance with company policies for DI operation.
  • Ensures that all warehouse technicians have acceptable coverage and schedules (including holiday coverage). 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Environmental Health and Safety

  • Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses. Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.
  • Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
  • Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.
  • Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.

What you will bring along

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Experience in managing teams.
  • Experience with SAP implementation (strong asset) and change management skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with various team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong active listening skills.
  • Flexible, and self-motivated with demonstrated initiative.
  • Developed time management and organizational skills.
  • Can make decisions in face of uncertainty.
  • Computer literacy (Excel intermediate proficiency, SAP, PowerBI).
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
