JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations by ensuring accurate receiving, inventory tracking, and material flow throughout the facility. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting order fulfillment, and assisting with daily warehouse operations to ensure materials are prepared accurately for delivery and installer pick-up.


Success in this role means inventory is tracked and maintained accurately, materials are staged efficiently, and warehouse operations support delivery timelines and customer needs.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Receive products and materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Track, monitor, and maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse systems.
  • Review customer, installation, and shipping orders to determine materials to be picked, staged, and distributed.
  • Move materials between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas using proper handling techniques and equipment.
  • Pick, verify, and stage delivery and will-call orders to support accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks while maintaining product integrity and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to support efficient operations.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, material tracking, and inventory organization.
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding order status, material availability, and delivery needs.
  • Route deliveries and support logistics coordination as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Operate company vehicles for material delivery as required.
  • Follow and adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to support daily operational goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS  

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations demonstrating increasing responsibility.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company motor vehicle record standards at time of hire and throughout employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without restriction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to support training, coordination, and operational needs.
  • Basic math skills sufficient to understand order quantities, measurements, and inventory-related transactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of on-the-job driving experience.
  • 1+ years of experience using a computer for shipping, receiving, or inventory-related tasks.
  • Forklift experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Frequently required to stand for extended periods and move throughout the warehouse or job site to access materials and equipment.
  • Positioning: Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequently handles and moves materials using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Vision: Ability to visually inspect materials and identify quality differences.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

  • Warehouse/Facility: Work is performed in a warehouse and shop environment with exposure to non-climate-controlled conditions (heat and cold), moving equipment, and moderate to high noise levels.
  • Job Site/Field: May require work at job sites with exposure to outdoor conditions, seasonal weather, and varying terrain.
  • Operational Demands: Role may require meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment to support operational needs.
  • Safety: Requires adherence to all safety policies and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
