Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Operations Coordinator is to assist warehouse supervisors with administrative duties by ensuring that freight appointments, logbooks, and pallet management systems are current, and to provide support for internal and external customer coordination. Essential Functions

 

  • Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food)
  • Booking and confirming appointments for inbound & outbound freight with carriers.
  • Answering the warehouse driver’s check-in window and all acknowledging all Customer pickups.
  • Working with transport companies to make sure RAs are returned in a timely fashion.
  • Investigating inventory issues, including product customer returns (RAs), and monitoring roped off return area.
  • Investigate all RA short claims and close RAs
  • Supporting supervisors in various administrative duties
    • Organizing MSDS, SQF Manuals & Pest Control
    • Keep inventory of warehouse supplies
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintaining the CHEP system to keep accurate pallet movement records
  • Co-ordinating and assisting with inter-departmental problem solving.
  • Handling confidential information with discretion
  • Assisting with order picking occasionally during busy periods

 

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Excel, and familiarity with the SAP system
  • Pleasant customer service-oriented attitude
  • Experience in an Operations / Logistics environment
  • Familiar with CHEP Inventory management system.

 

The base compensation range for this role is $42,900 CAD - $54,000 CAD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
