Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, optimize supply chain processes, and lead a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems, and proficiency in various software tools including SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. This role requires a strategic mindset to implement process improvements, ensure safety compliance, and maintain high standards of customer service within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Comfortable working in multi temperature environments (-28C freezer for periods of the day).
- Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including inventory control, order picking, packaging, and shipping.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team productivity and safety compliance.
- Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platform, and other computer-based tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline supply chain operations.
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery by coordinating with logistics providers such as 3PL companies.
- Maintain safety standards by enforcing proper procedures for heavy lifting, forklift operation, and general warehouse safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels using data analysis skills to forecast needs and prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with purchasing teams to manage procurement activities and optimize warehouse space for e-commerce packaging and distribution.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational metrics and implementing best practices across the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with a focus on team management and process improvement.
- Strong familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Windows operating systems.
- Experience with supply chain management, order picking processes, packaging operations, and e-commerce distribution is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of forklift operation (certification preferred), heavy lifting safety procedures, and logistics coordination including 3PL services.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to analyze data for continuous process improvement.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and maintain high customer service standards. Pay: $52,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
