Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Warehouse Supervisors and Material Handlers
- Manage daily warehouse operations with a strong hands-on approach
- Hire, train, and develop warehouse staff, fostering a high-performance culture
- Monitor daily productivity and ensure targets and budget goals are met or exceeded
- Develop and track KPIs to measure operational performance and drive improvements
- Plan and coordinate inbound shipments, including container scheduling and workforce allocation
- Schedule weekly manpower based on projected volumes and operational needs
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve space utilization and efficiency
- Oversee inventory processes, including cycle counts and full inventory counts, ensuring system accuracy
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and operational records
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company standards
- Manage and resolve escalated operational issues and incidents
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Customer Service, IT, Inventory, Logistics, and Purchasing
- Oversee building maintenance and manage external contractors
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency with MS Office and AS400 systems
- Valid forklift certification
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Proven accountability and ability to drive results
- A hands-on leader who leads by example
- Strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement
- Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
