POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Forklift Operator will participate in the shipping, receiving, and storing of case goods and dry goods. This role will also support the implementation of LEAN initiatives, including 5S and efficiencies in the warehouse operation.

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the highest level of customer service with distributors, customers, co-workers, and guests
  • Participate in the picking, sorting, wrapping, and staging of products for loading
  • Participate in the loading and unloading of trailers
  • Verify outgoing loads, properly fill out BOLs and other shipping paperwork, and turn in completed paperwork to the Bottling office
  • Verify incoming loads, properly fill out receiving paperwork, and turn in completed paperwork to the Bottling office
  • Plan and communicate storage locations for finished goods, dry goods, and other materials stored in the warehouse to allow for maximum space utilization
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, safe, and secure work area/warehouse
  • Fill outthe forklift safety checklist to ensure a properly operating forklift
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment safely and correctly
  • Assist with departmental initiatives, new projects, tailgate safety meetings, and functions
  • Incorporate LEAN initiatives such as 5S, tracking/eliminating DOWNTIME, and reducing wasteful activities
  • Perform various other duties and participate in special projects as assigned by the supervisor or manager within the physical constraints of the job

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Maintain a valid Forklift Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Bilingual skills: a plus

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Sit for prolonged periods
  • Perform some repetitive motion activities
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 40 lbs
  • Operate a forklift
  • Maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is performed onsite in our Parlier, CA facility. This work is normally performed in a warehouse environment. Noise levels are generally moderate, but may fluctuate to medium to high at times. The warehouse is temperature-controlled, but this position may require some outside work from time to time in all weather elements.

California Pay Transparency Notice: This position is classified as non-exempt. The compensation range for this role is $18.50 to $19.50/hour. Candidates are generally not hired at or near the maximum of the salary range. Final salary placement will depend on several factors, which may include the candidate’s qualifications, education, relevant experience, and alignment with current market data.
