JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for all warehouse functions to include verifying accuracy of all inbound and outbound shipments, movement of inventory, and other duties as assigned. Actively be involved in the overall day to day shipping, receiving, and warehousing duties as prioritized by the Warehouse Supervisor. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Responsibilities


Direct your co-workers by assigning tasks in the order they should be completed.
Help to maintain high efficiency and accuracy levels.
Maintain storage and drop trailers.
Oversee housekeeping responsibilities such as sweeping, trash removal, etc.
Be involved in the training of Temporary staff or new hires.
Work with the supervisor to accomplish any special projects.
Will act as back-up to supervisor when supervisor is out.
Assist warehouse employees as needed to insure a consistent flow of inbound/outbound.

Unloading


Responsible for overseeing the unloading of cartons and or pallets from all inbound shipments. Responsible for overseeing pallets of loose cartons as they are being unloaded from the container. Responsible for utilizing RF / Terminal to receive inventory against open PO’s into the AS400. Will work with receivers as necessary.

Auditing
Responsible for assisting in auditing Kohls, Tuesday Morning and other loads as necessary. Receiving inbound product information in the AS400.


Wrapping
Responsible for stretch wrapping the entire completed pallet according to specific customer / receiving guidelines. Responsible for recording carton count on each pallet, and for attaching any necessary labels according to specific customer guidelines.

Staging
Responsible for moving wrapped pallets to the staging area in a safe and organized manner according to customer, truck line, QC staging or receiving requirements. Responsible for ensuring that all pallets belonging to a specific shipment are placed together in the staging area.


Loading
Responsible for verifying that the truck driver’s paperwork (load #, appointment #, or pick up#) matches load sheet to pick ticket. Must notify immediate supervisor of any discrepancies. Once paperwork is deemed to be in order and all discrepancies have been resolved, is responsible for loading the correct pallets onto the truck safely and in such a manner as to maximize the load space. Responsible for ensuring that the load is complete prior to releasing the driver.

RF / Terminal
Responsible for verifying physical counts are accurately entered/scanned into WMS/Freedman systems. Insures the system transactions coincide with all physical inventory movement real-time. Responsible for the inventory accuracy within the warehouse area.

Safety and Equipment
Responsible for careful and safe use of all company equipment and property. Responsible for reporting any equipment problems to immediate supervisor, or the maintenance department. Responsible for performing duties in such a way to ensure the safety of oneself and one’s co-workers.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and understand shipping documents and related paperwork.
• 3 years experience in an automated warehouse environment.
• Ability to be trained to use applicable systems.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment, pallet mover, and a shrink wrap machine
• Must be certified to use a fork lift and/or reach truck according to OSHA guidelines.
*Certification is provided on-site.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to frequently stand/walk.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic Math Skills
• Ability to climb on and off fork lift
