JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver plays a critical role in supporting both warehouse operations and delivery execution to ensure materials are handled, staged, and delivered accurately and on time. This position works closely with warehouse teams, installers, and customers to coordinate material flow from receipt through final delivery. Success in this role means inventory is maintained accurately, materials are prepared and staged efficiently, and deliveries are completed safely without damage or delays. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physical tasks in both warehouse and field environments.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Ensure materials are received, handled, and stored accurately to maintain organized and reliable inventory.
  • Pick, verify, and stage materials for delivery and installer will-call to support timely job execution.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials safely while preventing damage and maintaining product integrity.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time to job sites and customer locations.
  • Verify materials against pull sheets, packing slips, and bills of lading prior to delivery to ensure accuracy.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment in compliance with safety policies and transportation regulations.
  • Support warehouse operations by assisting with incoming shipments, material movement, and inventory organization.
  • Process material returns and assist with inventory check-in to maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, vendors, and job sites to ensure efficient material flow and delivery execution.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both warehouse and delivery settings.
  • Meet daily schedules and deadlines to support overall operational and project timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS  

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet company motor vehicle record standards.
  • Ability to safely operate a non-CDL box truck (up to 26 feet).
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials on a regular basis (up to 75–100 pounds).
  • Basic computer skills for shipping, receiving, and order verification.
  • Ability to read and verify packing slips, pull sheets, and delivery documentation.
  • Ability to work in both warehouse and customer-facing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse, delivery, or material handling roles.
  • Experience delivering building materials or construction-related products.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, or inventory systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Stationary Position: Ability to stand and move throughout the workday.
  • Mobility: Frequently moves between warehouse, truck, and job sites.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves materials weighing up to 75–100 pounds.
  • Positioning: Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequently operates warehouse equipment and delivery tools.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and customers in active environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

  • Warehouse/Facility: Exposure to non-climate-controlled environments, moving equipment, and elevated noise levels.
  •  Job Site/Field: Exposure to construction sites, outdoor weather conditions, dust, and varying terrain.
  • Driving: Regular operation of a company vehicle throughout the workday.
  • Operational Demands: Role may require meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety: Requires adherence to all safety policies and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
