Pay Rate: $23.75/hour

 

Perfect Attendance Bonus: $.75/hour

About this Role: 

 

As a Warehouse Associate, you will safely load and unload trucks and railcars, stage materials, and operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and hoists. You will maintain accurate inventory and records—labeling, counting, monitoring outgoing products—and complete move/load sheets and data entry. You will perform per-shift equipment checks, follow safety and fire-protection procedures, report hazards, and assist with scheduled cleaning during downtime.

 

Responsibilities

  • Load finished products into and out of trucks or railcars in the proper manner to ensure customer quality standards.
  • Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine the materials or containers to be moved.
  • Load and unload materials, such as packaging supplies and finished goods, to and from designated warehouse areas.
  • Remain knowledgeable about the warehouse fire protection system and procedures in case of fire.
  • Operate a forklift or clamp truck in a safe manner to move materials, products, and other items to designated areas.
  • Operate an industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Understand inventory procedures in the bay areas; sort and place materials according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Mark materials with identifying information and monitor outgoing finished products.
  • Maintain records of materials and items received or distributed; ensure accurate completion of all paperwork, including move sheets and load sheets.
  • Review customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Label materials with identifying information and monitor outgoing finished products.
  • Count items for distribution within the plant to ensure compliance with company standards, including accuracy and rotation of date codes.
  • Use a computer to enter data and maintain inventory records.
  • Perform forklift equipment checks each shift.
  • Safely operate a forklift and other powered industrial vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and report all identified hazards.
  • Participate in scheduled downtime, which includes cleaning equipment in designated areas throughout the plant..

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year forklift experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks with forklift is required.

To perform this job successfully, individuals must demonstrate the following:

  • Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
  • Proficient in English (reading and writing).
