JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate shall be responsible and in charge of the Company’s Hammond, Louisiana warehouse receiving, distribution and inventory control.

SCOPE OF DUTIES

The duties of the Warehouse Associate shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
• Receives, sorts and dispatches various materials and supplies.
• Responsible for facility maintenance, including office, building, parking lot and yard.
• Responsible for light equipment maintenance and operation, including company forklift and trailers.
• Assists Warehouse Manager with shipping and freight tasks both foreign and domestic.
• Administers delivery and pick-up services when necessary.
• Responsible for the maintenance of crew change and warehouse vehicles.
• Administers disposal services of waste products and recyclable items at warehouse.
• Administers spare parts inventory storage, tracking and monthly reconciliation reports
• All other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School graduation or equivalent work experience in a commercial or industrial environment.

Experience: 3 years of experience working in a warehouse or similar function preferred.

Skills:

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

• Functional ability of other office machines such as fax, phone, and copier are expected.

• Incident free driving record and Commercial Driving license preferred.

• Ability to get along well with others.

Must be willing to board and ride vessels to increase understanding of how this role supports our business.

DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Eyesight: Functional, correctable to 20/20 with color recognition.
Hearing: Functional, correctable to normal to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
Speech: Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
Mobility: Unencumbered by physical limitations to perform the following activities: walking, climbing, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, and gross and fine motor dexterity (equipment controls and limited typing).

HOURS OF WORK

Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 5:00pm and may be adjusted with approval by the department supervisor.  Some overtime, work related travel and weekend work may be required, subject to company operational requirements. Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Note: Rotation schedule may vary and is subject to change based on vessel requirements.
