Job Description:

Supports the mission and values of the LSU Athletics Department, and specifically the LSU Cheerleading, Tiger Girls, and Team Mike programs, by coordinating and managing logistics for all spirit squad teams. Promotes accountability to team standards, contributes to a positive team culture, and mentors student-athletes in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment.

45%     Coordinates and confirms all team logistics, including facility rentals, travel arrangements, and event planning. Submits required documentation and receipts, processes registrations for camps, nationals, and related events, and develops detailed itineraries for spirit squad activities. Assists with organizing tryouts and recruiting events, as well as planning banquets and other spirit squad functions. Coordinates recruiting weekends in collaboration with staff. Manages team meals for travel, hotel stays, and games; secures post-game meal allowances for participating student-athletes and support staff. Arranges air and ground transportation for away contests and oversees lodging assignments and accommodations.

30%     Assists with ordering equipment and uniforms and supports budget tracking and management. Maintains and inventories spirit squad uniforms and materials. Creates and maintains team rosters and related documentation. Assists with promotions, appearances, and special events as needed. Communicates with facilities staff regarding maintenance and space needs.

20%     Organizes logistics for spirit squad participation in regular season and postseason athletic events, including football, baseball, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and gymnastics. Attends staff meetings and supports monitoring of student-athlete academic progress. Serves as a point of contact for student-athletes regarding logistical needs. Acts as liaison with the Athletics Business Office to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial and operational matters.

5% Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with related experience.

Special Or Physical Requirements:
Ability to work extended days, weekends and holidays. This position requires travel to Nationals.
 

Time Commitment:

The position works 20 hours per week August through April and will assist with tryouts and summer camps as needed.
