**Vice Principal of Operations** 2026-2027

Skyline Education AZ Compass is seeking a motivated Vice Principal of Operations to support student success and strengthen school culture. This leader will oversee daily operations, student discipline, and school wide systems while working closely with staff, students, and families to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as an active member of the administrative team
• Support and promote a strong, positive school culture
• Analyze and monitor student academic data to inform decisions
• Oversee student discipline and ensure policies and procedures are implemented consistently
• Receive and address referrals from students, parents, teachers, community agencies, and law enforcement
• Respond to and resolve parent and student concerns
• Serve on discipline panels and expulsion hearings as assigned
• Supervise students on campus and during off campus activities
• Monitor lunch, recess, and staff duty schedules as needed
• Manage substitute coverage
• Assist the Principal in managing school operations
• Assume the responsibilities of the Principal in the Principal’s absence
• Support mentoring programs, professional development days, and staff training
• Provide leadership in school improvement efforts
• Perform additional duties as assigned


Knowledge and Abilities

• Build respectful relationships with students while maintaining clear and consistent discipline
• Model Skyline Education’s standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Use technology effectively, including MS Office, Google platforms, and web based systems
• Lead in curriculum development, program evaluation, staff supervision, and school improvement
• Support staff development and teacher coaching
• Recruit and engage students and families in alignment with the school mission
• Demonstrate integrity, initiative, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Collaborate effectively and support colleagues


Education and Experience

• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred
• Ability or willingness to obtain Principal certification
• Counseling certification preferred
• Minimum of two years in a leadership or lead role
• At least three years of successful classroom teaching experience recommended
• Ongoing participation in professional development
• Experience with online educational systems such as testing and curriculum platforms preferred
• Active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Physical Demands


The role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, and communicating. The employee must use hands and arms for data entry and handling materials. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Visual demands include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
