Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented Vice President of IT Operations to join our amazing IT Management team!
The Vice President of IT Operations will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233.
All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas.
To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.
Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided).
Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment.
The VP of IT Operations is responsible for leading and continually improving the delivery, stability, and reliability of enterprise IT operations. This role provides executive leadership over IT service management, operational teams, and 24x7 technology support to ensure consistent, high‑quality services that meet business needs and operational performance expectations. The VP of IT Operations drives operational discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement while partnering with peers and stakeholders to support a stable and resilient technology environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Directly lead and manage IT operations teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality technology services, including infrastructure operations, data center services, and branch technology support
Own and mature IT service management (ITSM) processes, including change, problem, release, and service level management, ensuring effective operational controls and adherence to established standards
Establish, monitor, and report operational metrics and service health, providing transparency into availability, performance, and reliability while using data to drive continuous improvement. Negotiate SLAs with external partners as applicable
Ensure 24x7 operational readiness of data center and branch technology services, including appropriate staffing models, escalation paths, and on‑call coverage to support uninterrupted business operations
Partner with peers and vendors to ensure service delivery performance meets operational expectations, holding internal teams and service providers accountable for reliability, responsiveness, and quality of service
Drive operational automation and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and enhance overall operational efficiency
Support risk management, audit, and compliance activities related to IT operations by providing operational insight, documentation, and assistance as needed
Ensure effective management of software licensing and hardware inventories by maintaining cost-effective procurement strategies, internal controls and financial/physical reconciliations
Perform capacity planning, budgeting and expense tracking activities
Act as relationship manager for in scope service providers, review and negotiate contracts

Requirements:
High School Diploma/ GED
Minimum of five years of job-related experience
Minimum of five years of supervisory experience
Experience in leading and developing diverse groups of technology professionals
Experience planning for and executing on the needs of a fast-follower organization
Previous hands-on experience in both the hands-on and customer service aspects of IT operations including networking, storage, compute, and telephony
Skills and/or Certifications:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be comfortable presenting technical subject matter in non-technical business-oriented terms
Must be able to lead through and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
Must be able to clearly communicate resource constraints and perform under pressure
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management Information Systems, or Computer Science. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, four years of related experience will equal to bachelor’s degree
