Hyperion Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Gulf Coast Operations to lead and grow its Gulfport, MS Office. This role is responsible for expanding Hyperion's presence on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and positioning Hyperion as a recognized leader in the blue economy and defense technology markets.
The ideal candidate combines deep regional industry knowledge with Hyperion's capabilities to identify opportunities and develop strategic partnerships that generate new business. The Vice President will collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team in Tupelo, MS and Hyperion's technical leaders across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to expand Hyperion's footprint across Gulf Coast defense, maritime, government markets, and commercial markets, including industrial automation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the region.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with prime contractors, program offices, and key stakeholders in the region.
- Lead business development activities including opportunity identification, capture planning, proposal support, and contract negotiations.
- Represent Hyperion at industry events, conferences, and relevant trade shows.
- Establish and grow strategic partnerships with integrators, prime contractors, and research institutions.
- Conduct market intelligence analysis to identify trends, competitor positioning, and emerging opportunities aligned with Hyperion's technology portfolio.
- Serve as the primary external face of Hyperion in the Gulf Coast region, reinforcing the company's brand and mission

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, national security, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in defense, military, or federal government environments, with a demonstrated record of stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, or business development.
- Deep familiarity with the Gulf Coast military installation ecosystem, including knowledge of relevant commands, programs, and procurement priorities.

Established relationships with DoD, DHS, or federal civilian agency decision-makers in the region.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance or better.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; comfort representing an organization at the executive level.
- Experience coordinating with state economic development agencies, defense community organizations, or research institutions.
Physical Requirements:
- Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors.
- Candidate must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Duties will also require extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and lifting light to moderately heavy objects.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Vetting Risk Operations Center (VROC), handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and drug involvement.
