The Unit Operations Coordinator will be a support position directly to the Nurse Manager. The primary function is to support the nurse manager with coordination of daily unit operational duties, including but not limited to data management, routine compliance reports, correspondence with unit staff, coordination and preparation for meetings, and staffing support.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
Managing staffing schedules utilizing Clarvia and Kronos – supporting day-to-day schedules and changes as well as supporting payroll needs excluding final payroll approval
Manages day -to- day schedule and collaborates with staffing office regarding need for additional staff Manages all incentive bonuses offered for accurate time/record keeping
Informs Nurse Manager of potential time and attendance issue for possible review with staff
Manages correspondence to staff of required mandatory employment criteria to include Annual mandatory competences, health screenings, BSL and ACLS (as applicable)
Manages and schedules staff for mandatory classes
Completes and facilitates Capital Equipment quotes to support unit manager requests
Reviews potential applicants and pre-screen unlicensed applicants for Nurse Manager review
Schedules interview (including peer interviews) as schedule allows
Supports Human Resources and Nurse Manager with onboarding new staff to include start dates, badges, lockers, time clocks, etc to improve and facilitate onboarding process
Assembles and manages Quality PI Dashboards under direction of Nurse Manager; prepares regular reports as required
Manages all office and clerical supply orders through purchasing department
Manages Nurse Manager calendar for meetings and appointments
Correspondence support s(meeting minutes, employee files, interdepartmental correspondence, etc. ) in a timely manner
Supports relationships between units by working collaboratively to
promote staffing and communication
Supports Nurse Manager in gather detail for the annual budget process
Degree in secretarial science or business administration preferred
Three years recent experience in administrative/secretarial support position
Two years’ experience in a hospital or health care environment
Experience in scheduling preferred
High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree preferred

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to organize work in a self-directed manner
Ability to define problems, and deal with complex variables
Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and manages spreadsheets
Ability to read, analyze and interpret collected data, draw conclusions, and applies concepts using concreate or abstract variables
Skill in conflict resolution
Ability to be effective with diverse educational, cultural, spiritual and socioeconomic backgrounds
Ability to work cooperatively with hospital personnel in a manner that builds team spirit

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $19.56 to $28.34 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
