The Transportation & Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the safe transportation of materials and the efficient execution of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This hybrid role ensures compliance with DOT regulations, supports inventory accuracy, and maintains a high standard of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Compliance
· Safely operate a commercial vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
· Transport wastewater, raw materials, and finished goods to designated locations
· Complete and maintain required driver logs, inspection reports, and documentation in accordance to DOT regulations
· Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report any issues promptly
Shipping, Receiving & Material Handling
· Load and unload materials using proper equipment and procedures
· Transfer materials by connecting hoses, operating pumps, and managing valves
· Verify shipments against bills of lading and ensure accuracy of documentation
· Process inbound and outbound shipments within warehouse management systems
· Check drivers in and out and ensure completion of required shipping/receiving records
· Collect and deliver product samples for quality control as needed
Warehouse & Inventory Support
· Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts and audits
· Assist with general warehouse operations during non-driving periods
· Ensure equipment, vehicles, and workspaces are clean, organized, and operational
Safety & Environmental Responsibility
· Follow all safety policies, procedures, and DOT/HAZMAT regulations
· Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
· Support spill response and emergency procedures when required
Work Environment
· Combination of driving, warehouse, and outdoor work environments
· Exposure to chemicals, industrial equipment, and transportation settings
· Use of PPE required
Additional Information
· This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility between driving and warehouse responsibilities
· Other duties may be assigned based on business needs

Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Qualifications
· Valid CDL-A (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate tanker and hazmat endorsements
· 5+ years of CDL-A driving experience preferred
· Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
· Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling preferred
· Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (or willingness to be certified)
· Basic computer skills for system entry and documentation
Physical Requirements
· This is a safety sensitive position
· Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50+ lbs regularly
· Ability to climb ladders (up to 10 feet) and access tanker/railcar equipment
· Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
