The Pay Range for this Position is $19.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour.
Job Summary
Opportunity to learn the Supply Chain and Transportation department while assisting with administrative functions that support day-to-day fulfillment and long-term strategic operations. In the event of an absence, position will be filled by trained personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Work with teammates in understanding process and procedures in place and leveraged on a day-to-day basis.
- Work with leadership to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, reduction of complexity and overhead and drive best in class operations.
- Review metrics, data, and industry trends that could impact on the department’s ability to maintain a highly efficient and reliable transportation network of 3rd party carriers and Blount managed carriers to ensure the highest levels of reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Work with leadership on department transformation initiatives to help identify and incorporate the latest best in class industry solutions.
- Bring in-class learning into real word scenarios and apply those to problem solving and ideation for technology improvement, process improvements, and improvement in overall operational excellence.
- Participate in all team meetings and strategic brainstorming sessions.
- Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.
Responsibilities for Food Safety
- Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly as applicable. Must adhere to all corporate GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and all Food and Employee Safety policies.
- Must adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures as applicable.
- Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals.
- If monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s).
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn X3, SharePoint, Tableau, and Safety Chain software programs.

Education and/or Experience
Degree (B.A.) candidate from College or University or related experience; or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
This position requires the ability to travel; pre-employment and screening of Motor Vehicle Record every two years and personal automobile insurance coverage in accordance with the Blount Fine Foods Employee Handbook.
