Summary
DOWL is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Transportation Interns to assist with various engineering projects across Montana. Learn from experienced professionals who will foster your civil engineering passion and provide personal, one-on-one mentorship to help you gain knowledge and experience with design projects. During the internship, the successful candidate will use various applications and software to analyze, develop, draft, write, and prepare design packages to support Transportation work. Also, opportunities to work with other associated disciplines, such as Water & Environmental Services, Transportation & Structures, and Construction Related Services groups, are likely. Duties may include field work to gather data and analyze site conditions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Candidates must have at least one year of college-level course work toward a baccalaureate degree in civil engineering. Prior work experience in civil engineering-related fields is desirable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee is required to talk and hear. The work environment is generally an office setting with intermittent field work opportunities. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, while noise on construction sites may be high and require hearing protection.
