POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing safe, timely, and enjoyable transport of Shooting Star Casino guests. In all interactions, the position is responsible for providing STAR Experience to guests and fellow team members a first priority.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Shooting Star Casino team members will always deliver excellent guest service to our guests and fellow co-workers.

Drives guests to / from destinations within the Shooting Star Casino service area to provide safe and timely transportation.
- Plans trip routes.
- Obeys traffic laws.
- Make responsive decisions regarding road and weather conditions.
- Responds to both apparent and potential guest special needs.
Performs pre and post vehicle maintenance inspections and needed maintenance to ensure the optimal vehicle performance, safe use, and vehicle longevity.
- Reviews pre-trip inspection checklist.
- Performs needed maintenance.
- Reviews post-trip checklist.
- Performs post-trip maintenance, fueling, cleaning and washing.
Collects and records trip data into a written trip report to maintain a comprehensive record of having provided quality guest service.
- Records beginning trip data.
- Conducts guest registrations.
- Compiles post trip report which states numbers of trip guests, miles traveled, location served.
- Submits report to Transportation Office.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Maintain the strictest confidentiality at all times.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and minimum of (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses & Designations
Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal State Compact for Gaming.
Valid Class B Passenger-endorsed Driver’s License with the ability to successfully obtain a Valid Class B Passenger Endorsed license within a 3-month period. Must have an insurable driving record under SSC insurance carrier’s current policy.
Current, Valid copy of Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Health Card) showing that driver is qualified. Renewed every two years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of and ability to apply the policies and procedures of the Shooting Star Casino.
- Knowledge of and ability to communicate with guests regarding SSC related activities.
- Skill in basic math.
- Skill in developing and maintaining positive relationships with external and internal customers.
- Skill of determining alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective guest service.
- Skill of receiving a message, understanding the intended message and giving feedback to ensure guest expectations are met.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to frequently lift/move over (50) fifty pounds.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
- Ability to follow procedures and give attention to detail.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The work environment generally occurs in a moving vehicle, exposure to moderate to loud noise level.
- The work environment occasionally includes exposure to inclement weather conditions.
- The work environment has minimal exposure to blood borne pathogens.
- The work environment has frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, solutions and solvents.
- The work environment occasionally includes work done with machinery involving moving parts.
