Shift - AWS 2nd shift F- Sun (6:00pm – 6:30am)(12 hours per day/36 hours per week)
Manages the activities in such functions as dock operations, material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, carrier management, and scheduling of shipments (full truck, LTL, rail, containers, etc.).
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
• Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
• Unload Trailers, stage kits & or parts in the appropriate / designated locations
• Remove empties from the Point of Use
• Replenish Point of use with the appropriate kits at the right place and the right time
• Create Inbound manifest and track swim lane health and follow up with corrective actions
• Act as first response to the line for parts not delivered to point of use and determine best ordering method to deliver parts
• Flexible in working off-site at the 3PL when needed to drive material flow improvement activities
• Execute daily walks with the 3PL to ensure parts are picked on time and in point of use when required
• Perform end of shift review with 3PL to ensure preparedness for the following morning
• Work with warehouse to ensure delivery of emergency orders
• Ability to work with multiple priorities of the business
• Ability to work overtime and beyond 40 hours when needed to support production
Desired Skillsets:
• Ability to organize daily activities and to make quick decisions to support a fast-paced process-oriented operation.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be multi-functional in a stop-and-go operation.
• Knowledge of parts required for production.
• Ability to work independently offsite at the 3PL to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience:
• High school diploma
• Must have at minimum 1 year of sit down and standup forklift experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, physically capable of moving fast
• Previous experience in our kind of business (strongly prefer someone with manufacturing material handling)
• Multi-task / go getter , Attention to detail , Alert.
• This person will be accountable for the 5S (cleanliness and organization) of the area.
