We are currently seeking a talented individual to join the Operations team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Transportation and Facilities Officer position is responsible for administering and resolving school and branch related transportation issues; prepares and approves student transportation bus schedules, routes, and manifests; oversees the preparation and administration of Yukon-wide educational facility and transportation contracts within the branch’s mandate; administers the Whitehorse transit bus pass program; and maintains frequent communication with parents, departmental staff, and external partners. The successful applicant will join a small but strong team with great camaraderie in an extremely fast-paced work environment, where collaboration and team work is an everyday occurrence.

Essential Qualifications

•    Experience providing prompt administrative support to a variety of clients and stakeholders, including responding to urgent requests received by phone, in-person, or email.
•    Experience managing a variety of logistical information, such as school bus schedules, routes, and manifests.      
•    Experience using a wide variety of computer programs, applications, or software such as computerized financial systems (Quest and Front End Financial), Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint to create tracking systems 
•    Experience managing and preparing contracts with service providers, such as busing companies and bus manufacturers would be an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
