Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our Windsor 3 Manufacturing team as a:
TRANSPORTATION ANALYST
This position offers a compensation range of $65,000 – $85,000, dependent on skills and experience.
This posting is for an existing, currently vacant position within Plasman.
The Transportation Analyst is responsible for planning, scheduling, and supporting transportation operations across Canadian facilities to ensure efficient and on-time delivery. The Transportation Analyst monitors route performance, manages schedule changes and urgent requests, coordinates with carriers and plant teams to resolve issues, and tracks key transportation metrics, costs, and billing accuracy
Key Responsibilities
Plan, Schedule, and Support Canadian Operations local transport schedule.
Analyze and adjust route schedule changes to optimize the network and maintain manufacturing operations.
Manage schedule deviations and best cost solutions for urgent changes including out-of-schedule requirements through the Plasman transport portal
Manage on-time delivery and track non-conformance activities (waiting time, traffic congestion, etc.)
Communicate with transport companies and plant operations to resolve operational issues.
Track and Maintain transport records (frequency and pallets shipped) and create KPIs.
Support the negotiation of transport rates and maintain Service Agreements
Support the tracking of returnable dunnage tracking between the Canadian plants.
Support transport clearance issues customs team
Oversight of Plasman transportation network (CAN OPS - 75% / Plasman NA - 25%)
Ensure compliance with transportation laws and company policies
Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed a College or University level program – focusing on logistics or supply chain management
Must have at least 3-5 years previous experience in logistics or transportation
