Position Summary
The Telecom Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the performance, reliability, and support of the organization’s telecommunications infrastructure across all locations. This role ensures seamless communication systems, including voice, data, and network services, managing vendors, and driving continuous improvement to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of telecommunications systems, including VoIP and network connectivity
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of communication systems across all sites
- Oversee incident management, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of telecom-related issues
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent outages or disruptions
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to align telecom systems with broader technology strategies
- Manage relationships with telecom vendors, carriers, and service providers
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecom hardware and software
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and escalation procedures
Additional Responsibilities
- Evaluate and implement new telecommunications technologies and tools
- Support expansion efforts, including new site openings and system integrations
- Analyze system usage to optimize performance and cost efficiency
- Manage telecom-related budgets, contracts, and cost controls
- Provide training and support to end users and internal teams
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for communication systems
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies
Travel up to 50% in 2026, decreasing to approximately 10–15% thereafter based on project demands.
