Supply Chain Leader- Food Safety

Overview

In this role you will report to the Quality & Food Safety Manager where you will lead and collaborate on multiple quality and food safety related initiatives throughout the site. You will lead a team of hourly and salaried employees to develop their capability and drive results.

Total Compensation: $68,900 - $112,160

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is being conducted in a safe manner 
• Ensure safety and quality of our products for our consumers 
• Responsible for a team of salaried direct reports working as Preventative Control Monitors (PC Monitors) to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met for department  
• Manage food safety agenda for the site 
• Preventative control ownership on shift 
• Communicating and collaborating cross-functionally to assist the team in solving operational problems 
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory food safety standards 
• Facilitate the implementation and compliance of policies and programs as they pertain to food safety 
• Facilitate training and capability development on shift 

Qualifications

• Graduated with a relevant degree or post-secondary designation 
• Strong interest in quality & food safety 
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, ability to support and drive food safety agenda with direct team  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 
• Ideal candidates will have the willingness and flexibility to perform tasks as needed in support of the team’s business needs. Primary duties may change as Food Safety requirements change. 
• Willing to travel up to 30% as required
