Position Summary

The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for supporting the demand planning team by analyzing forecasts, collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders, monitoring key performance metrics, and developing reports that help drive inventory and service-level decisions. In addition, there will be opportunities to support the logistics team and the supply planning team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to forecasting, customer collaboration, data analysis, and supply chain planning processes.

Location: Milton, Ontario, Canada

4 days in person / 1 day remote

Salary: $55,000 annually

Start Date: September 2026, for a duration of 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer service, engineering, accounting, quality, and marketing to support supply chain initiatives.
  • Review and analyze customer forecasts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the demand planning process by maintaining and updating forecast data.
  • Communicate with customers to better understand forecast assumptions, demand changes, and ordering patterns.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, on-time delivery and inventory to sales. Propose improvement actions and escalate issues or abnormalities to management.
  • Assist with inventory and supply planning analysis to help ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Investigate forecast variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects related to continuous improvement, vendor management, and automation within supply chain processes.
  • Prepare and analyze reports summarizing business activities and project statuses to support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in problem-solving activities and lean enterprise initiatives to identify and implement process improvements.

Qualifications

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Pursuing or completion of a University or College level education, preferably in Supply Chain or Business.

Experience And Skills

  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to understand supply chain practices and recommend opportunities.
  • Experience or knowledge of supply chain systems such as Ariba, SAP, and Logility is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of demand planning concepts and key supply chain metrics is a plus.
