In this position... 

The Supply Chain Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that the department’s message is clear, consistent, and professional across all channels. This individual will coordinate and help develop internal and external communications and act as a key administrative and logistical anchor for departmental events. This is a highly collaborative role designed for someone who excels at organization, clear writing, and providing high-level support to ensure operational success.



Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Communications Support (Internal & External)

    • Drafting & Editing: Assist in drafting routine internal announcements, newsletters, and department-wide emails to ensure a "one-voice" approach.

    • Supplier Outreach Support: Coordinate the distribution of mass communications to internal/external partners, stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring contact lists are accurate and messages are sent on schedule.

    • Brand Alignment: Review outgoing materials to ensure they meet company branding standards and are free of errors.

    • Manage shared supply chain mailboxes, triaging incoming inquiries and ensuring timely, professional correspondence with both internal and external stakeholders.

    • Serve as the first point of contact for supplier publicity inquiries, vetting all requests for policy compliance. Manage the direct rejection of non-compliant proposals and facilitate the elevation of strategic opportunities to Communications lead.

  • Event Logistics & Coordination

    • Administrative Support: Assist the event lead with tasks such as managing RSVP lists, sending calendar invitations

    • On-Site/Virtual Execution: Provide "day-of" support for events (Supplier Summit, Town Halls, etc.) by managing registration desks, and troubleshooting minor logistical issues.

  • Documentation & Reporting

    • Feedback Collection: Help create and distribute post-event surveys and compile results into summary reports for leadership.

    • Archive Management: Maintain a library of past communications and event photos/recordings for future reference and internal storytelling.



Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, communications, or project coordination role.

Even better, you may have...

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.

  • Software Proficiency: 

    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

    • Experience with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Webex, or Microsoft Teams).

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
